RNS was formed to meet the needs of public sector bodies wishing to develop Public Service Network (PSN) and Next Generation Broadband networks who require informed, impartial advice and assistance. We have a wide range of technical knowledge and operational expertise to enable us to work with the public sector to find better solutions.

By pooling resources, RNS is able to offer a wider range of services and specialist capabilities. We have strong relationships with leading industry experts who we are able to co-opt into our team to meet specialist and resource needs. RNS has an excellent relationship with most network carriers and system integrators at the highest level, giving us an unrivalled knowledge of local and national infrastructure and service offerings. RNS has the capability to undertake very specialised socio-economic and business surveys of regions to enable us to advise authorities on their regeneration and development plans. Our consultants are drawn from development and planning officers from the public sector and are very highly skilled in their fields.

Telemedicine and telehealth are also key areas of expertise with our specialist. Several of our consultants have been working with the NHS and national and regional Government on the development of smarted telehealth solutions.

The Government have placed particular emphasis on smart metering, as well as smarter and greener working practices. RNS are advising several uthorities on eco-strategies and how the council can engage with their clients in a greener and more cost-effective manner.
