RNS are experienced project and programme managers within the ICT/Digital sector. Industry standard Prince2 and Agile methodologies are utilized having completed practitioner certifications in order to deliver a range of successful projects.
An example of a current project includes the delivery of the Local Full Fibre Network (LFFN) initiative for Norfolk County Council. RNS provided consultancy support to successfully bid for £8m funding from the Department for Digital Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to connect high speed fibre to 372 public sector locations across the county.
Norfolk CC then appointed RNS to manage the technical delivery stage of the LFFN project. The implementation phase includes:-
Key Accountabilities
Ensure that the Contract with the Managed Service Provider, the Managed Service Provider’s Sub-Contractor and the Council’s Grant Agreement with BDUK are aligned.
Manage the contract to ensure adherence to key elements, such as Customer Obligations and Allowable Assumptions.
Manage NCC’s responsibilities for local site engagement including managing the site schedule to optimise the deployment rate and managing the site co-ordinators.
Work with Highways to understand how it can facilitate delivery and whether with agreement from benefitting sites some TM restrictions can be relaxed.
Manage and update the DCMS In-Build Management Information Template to ensure that NCC meets its reporting responsibilities
Manage the Change Control Process with the Managed Service Provider and DCMS

Proven experience of managing complex commercial relationships
Proven experience of managing a complex network infrastructure deployment
Proven experience of applying project management frameworks, tools and templates to manage and control time-critical technical projects
Proven ability to manage reporting requirements for large capital projects
